Astron Calendar 2023

My love for printmaking, illustration, and most recently, graphic design, inspired this seasonal calendar based on constellation families that appear in the skies within each season. My goal was to challenge myself in combining all these different elements of art-making I love and enjoy as well as to gain a deeper understanding of design. 

For this project I focused on traditional methods of illustration by hand printing each part of the calendar, using screen printing for the text and carving the illustrated portion out of linoleum. Each constellation is also aligned to the placement they have within their respective constellation family and visually reflect the myths and stories behind the constellation.
